Canada is a country located in the North of the U.S.A. Despite being one of the largest countries of the Earth, it only has around 35 million inhabitants and about four-fifths of its population lives within 150 kilometres of the United States border. Canada has two official languages: English and French. French is mainly spoken in the Quebec region, whereas English is spoken by most part of the population. Canadian English has been influenced by British and American English, which is why it has linguistic features of both variants.
